Women Development Cell

Introduction

The Women’s Development Cell (WDC) was a statutory body for the prevention of and action against sexual harassment of women. The main objective of WDC was to look into the grievances of teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students, especially in cases of gender discrimination. 

Aim

  • To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well- being of girl students and teaching and non –teaching female staff members.
  • To create legal awareness on specific issues concerning girls students and female staff members.
  • To provide carrier counselling. 

Objectives

  • To develop personality and incubate leadership quality in women leading to a fulfilling lives.
  • To spreading awareness about the rights and laws related to women.
  • To empower women though knowledge sharing, training workshop and programmes
  • To organised seminar, workshop and different activities to build

Role and functions:

  • To protect girl-students against any type of harassment and to take appropriate actions if necessary.
  • To hold meeting with women development cell members whenever required
  • To organise various activities for girls and womens development.
  • To prevent any gender discrimination.
